REMOVE POOL STAINS


Once you've diagnosed the stain removal product(s) for your stain, its time to remove your pool stains.

Make sure pool water is above 60 F before you begin.

Adjust your pool's water balance to these specific range:


  • Free and Total Chlorine (FAC and TAC)        1 - 3 ppm
  • Bromine (Bromine Pools Only)                       2 - 6 ppm
  • Biguanide (For Biguanide Pools Only)           30 - 50 ppm
  • pH                                                                   7.0 - 7.4
  • Total Alkalinity (TA)                                        Below 80 ppm
  • Calcium Hardness (CH)                                 Below 400 ppm
  • Cyanuric Acid (CYA/Stabilizer/Conditioner)   Below 70 ppm
  • Total Dissolved Solids (TDS)                         Below 1,200 ppm*
    • *Salt pools: Less than 4,000 ppm TDS

Calculate the amount of stain removal products you'll need:

STAIN DROP No. 1 removes iron stains, scale and organic debris stains.
DOSAGE: 2 lbs (One Container) per 12,000 gallons pool water.
TYPICAL TREATMENT: 2 - 7 days

STAIN DROP No. 2 removes copper stains and scale.
DOSAGE: 1 lbs per 1,000 gallons pool water.
TYPICAL TREATMENT: 2 - 14 days

DOSAGE: 5 lbs (One Container) per 10,000 gallons pool water.
